Story Behind Bold & New Design

Hey everyone! 😉. I realized recently that some of you have probably seen this link being shared or gotten an invite to like this page, but might not know exactly what it is.

In short, it’s the start of my new business.

I graduated in December with a degree in business. I didn’t know what I was going to do with my degree when I was in school. I didn’t have any particular plans. I just knew I wanted to use the skills I’d obtained, as well as do something I was passionate about.

I slowly started looking for a job in mid January, while at the same time I kept an idea in the back of my mind. “What if I opened a business?” I knew it couldn’t be just anything, though. After a lot of prayer, lots of research, and encouragement from my family, I finally decided to go for it.

I got what I needed to start the business the end of January. After teaching myself how to use it, I officially started selling products in March.

I felt strongly in the beginning (and still do), that they shouldn’t just be products. I strive for them to be messages of encouragement, a reminder of a truth that you need to hear, or something of that nature. A big part of that choice was because of Morgan Harper Nichols’s poetry. I remember many nights as a college student going through her social feeds, & reading something inspiring that helped me stay on track even when I was discouraged.

I hope I can do the same thing in my own unique way through Bold & New Design. There is a lot more I could say, but I won’t for length sake. 😌. Thanks for reading. 😘

Learning To Embrace The Crazy

Have you ever had a bad day? Not just any bad day, but the kind that could be turned into a movie? It might have gone something like this: after waking up late because your alarm didn’t go off, you didn’t have time to eat breakfast. So, you make your favorite quick breakfast drink. On your way to work you spilled your drink while checking your email & walking down the hallway. Then, you have a meeting but didn’t have time to go home & change. So, while attending the meeting you try to send a quick text to someone to bring you a change of clothes fast, because you need to present at another meeting. But your friend can’t help ya out. So, you head to the ladies room to clean up. As you try to clean up, you end up getting little bits of paper towel all over yourself & it looks much worse. That’s not all, though. 3 things I sometimes forget hen life is hard

2023 has been tough. It’s challenged me in ways I never expected. It’s gotten me thinking. We often blame God for bad circumstances and praise Him when things go right. I think there are 3 things we often forget easily: 1. God gives and takes everything with a bigger purpose in mind.
